Amber began her career in interior design by styling the homes of family and friends. Pursuing her passion for decor led her to become a stylist for a major furniture retail company. Upon fully recognizing her vision she founded Barbee St. Design Co.
Barbee St. Design Co., Our Inspiration
1025 Barbee St. was the address of my childhood home in High Point, NC. While 1025 Barbee St. no longer exists, I sought to pay homage to the community that raised me. It was in this home where I discovered my inspiration for interior design. The home belonged to my Nana, a woman who confidently displayed vibrant colors and textures throughout; it was filled with lovely mid-century furniture, antiques, and family heirlooms. Our home was pristine, welcoming, smelled divine, and always full of love. I want each space I decorate to feel the same warmth of 1025 Barbee St.
